Hyperbaric Oxygen for Discoid Lupus?

Question:

I have Discoid Lupus and I think that Hyperbaric Oxygen treatments would work.  Although I have tested negative for systemic lupus, another Dr. says that she thinks I might have it anyway. Meanwhile, my face is being eaten alive!     ~SL, in New England

Response:

I was diag.with Discoid Lupus 9 years ago, my suggestions to you are every year have ANA TO SEE IF YOUR SKIN LUPUS HAS TURNED TO THE iNTERNAL LUPUS. oNLY 5% OF US WILL GET THE INTERNAL LUPUS. mY LUPUS STAYS WITH ME ABOUT A MONTH, i CHOSE NOT TO BE ON STEROIDS, i DO HAVE AN OINTMENT i USE OCCASIONALLY. STAY OUT OF THE SUN AND TINT YOUR CAR WINDOWS AND STRESS CAN CAUSE BREAKOUTSSO I DO TAKE MEDICINE FOR ANXIETY WHICH HAS HELPED MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY. KEEP IN TOUCH.lrjchu…@aol.com
