Question:
This has probably been discussed before, but I can’t find the thread. First time going away since being diagnosed w/ DLE – need a good (non greasy?) sunscreen recommendation. I hate greasy feeling. TIA, Kim

I use Bull Frog – hate, *hate*, HATE the way it feels going on, but it’s virtually unnoticeable when it dries. It stays on all day, which is the major benefit for me as I usually am in a sandy area and cannot re-apply safely.

I use ‘Baby Skin’ and it goes on like a light moisture cream.. no oil and no grease and not heavy or sticky…. it is x50 sun protection factor too. Hugs from Shelagh http://continue.to/lupus

On a daily basis (not for heavy sun) I use Oil of Olay Complete moisturizer with 15spf sunscreen-unscented. For sun exposure I use Bananboat Ultra 30 unscented. The smell of sunscreen bothers me a lot… makes me nauseated and gives me headaches.. so that is why I use these products Mair "B’s Mom" <kimberl…@attbi.com> wrote in message

Sunblock. I use Banana boat sport 50. I also use the Banan Boat Maximum sunblock UVA UVB 50 the new one that absorbs quickly. Another that is great? Very expensive but works well? Total Block 65. You get it at www.dermadoc.com and order from them, they are cheaper than the manufactures site. But it will discolor clothes I also buy Rit Sun guard. I do my clothes in it esp in the summer time with long sleeve tops and shells. Drop packet in wash and it is good for a whole load. Lasts up to 20 reg washings. It does help believe me. At least for me it has. And I have lots of skin rashes due to sun before using all the above. Get it at www.rit.com or www.dermadoc.com under sun protection NO I do not slide out of bed at night either LOL And all the sunblocks NO smell Thats me for now janers

Oh right, on a daily basis I use (hypoallergenic) marcelle x30 spf moisture cream applying every a.m. but for summertime or outdoors walking/driving etc. on clear days especially, I use the ‘baby skin’ on top of my regular… you can get a spray application as well which covers nicely… odor free… made for baby skin which is so sensitive. — Hugs from Shelagh http://continue.to/lupus "Mary T.
