Question:
that is a good description, a river of illness flowing through me. sometimes it feels just like that. i’ll just be sitting, and it feels as if the life force is draining, or flowing, right out of me. it feels as if i’m falling, or emptying. it’s a very weird feeling. i don’t like it. i don’t remember blood boiling in my cheeks though. are your cheeks hot then? usually when i feel this way it makes me sad, because it’s then when i have not even the energy to move at all. lori Jacqueline <Jacqu…@webtv.net> wrote in message news:8787-39E25CDC-5@storefull-105.iap.bryant.webtv.net… please let me know what it is when I feel like a river of illness is flowing thru me and I feel weak and my blood feels like it is boiling in my cheeks. Is this how your lupus feels too ? What is happening when you feel this way and what do you all do ? Thanks .. God bless us all… Jacqueline ————————————————————————— —

Nice metaphor Jaqueline. I can see this as my "furnace" is overheating. I feel like my body is trying furiously to catch up to something, but there’s nothing to catch up to. Kind of like the throttle is stuck wide open. I swear by witch hazel compresses to bring down the skin temp. Sleep works for me too. Sometimes it is the only way to slow down my vitals. Standing under a really cold shower will help my head cool off if it’s really bad. Hoping that you’ll find a calm stream to replace the hot river. to our health kelly >please let me know what it is when I feel like a river of illness is flowing

Jacquie what you describe is lupus and it is a pain. There will be times of remission and you will feel like throwing the medicine away you feel so good. It may come back – mine has for a long time. Have you read Dr. Wallace’s book on Lupus. It really informs and encourages. Also there are so many new discoveries each day in the research world and we can look forward to that. We all are with you in spirit. prayers and hugs Ruth

All of the above…(0: I have had this quite often and more so the last year. You describe it well…. boiling cheeks, feeling weak… I am assuming mostly Lupus and some meds. I can tell the difference though when it is from Meds. I am on Cytoxan , Prednisone , Glucofage, Donnatol, aspirin a day diuretics and pain meds., Premerin and an inhaler. It is frustrating I can not do much at all with out getting plain wore out.
