Hi Rhonda, I have had severe cellulitis on my calf that went up my leg and into my groin and a surgeon was called in to see about possible amputation… scary scary situation but it did resolve itself without any drastic measures with iv antibiotics and treatments. I haven’t had a bout since but I am very careful to not break skin with a razor or out doors (never wear skirts or shorts) and watch my foot care as that too can create a problem with infection… I am sorry to hear you have it on your face! How did it start there? Hope you are feeling better soon and hugs to you from me, Shelagh

Hi Rhonda! It’s good to hear from you, but I’m sorry to hear you’re going through this. From what I read, you get cellulitis from a cut, scrape, even a dog or cat bite/scratch. It’s not contagious, they said, but the eye thing makes sense if it’s in your eye too. The site I found referred to children, but I imagine that’s just because they get so many scrapes & cuts & are more susceptible to this skin infection. The face & lower legs are the most common areas for cellulitis. Maybe that will ease your mind a bit. <http://kidshealth.org/parent/infections/skin/cellulitis.html> I hope it clears up soon. How is work going for you & how’s the Remecade working? Hugs, Maggie P.S. If someone responds, please include my post as Rhonda has had trouble viewing mine in the past. TIA

The remecade is ok. I found out I need a port. My veins just cant hold up anymore. I am holding on to all the strength I can get just to be able to work. It is nice to see you again! <JD…@webtv.net> wrote in message
