Question:
My Cairn was diagnosed with canine Lupus last summer. I started her on Zinc supplements after reading that many Lupus patient (human and canine) have a zinc deficiency. I was amazed how her health had improved months after starting her on zinc. My concern, how much zinc is considered to be the toxic level (she’s on 25mg zinc/day, she weighs 23lbs.). Apparently there are side effects including vision problems as a result of zinc overdosing. Thanks. Andy

DOAndy If someone on here doesn’t know, maybe you have a local healthfood store whose staff can help. I have a wonderful source of information at my local store. If you are in Santa Clara/San Mateo area the name of the shop is Whole Life in Redwood City ask for David. Kate
