harriet the spy and armstrong’s secret nine are on tour together for three weeks. harriet the spy sound a bit like antioch arrow + superchunck, if you can imagine that. armstrong’s secret nine continue to do the u.o.a. thing, but have managed to expand the narrow boundaries they established on the 7". you should definitely go see them both. tell dave i said hello.
Pleasin’ Dave Neeson? Alrighty! Yeah, these two bands are playing at the Harvest Co-op in Allston on Jan.17th (I think the opening bands are Sputnik Disaster & The Never-Never). Maybe it’s just that I don’t like the 2 bands you compared them to, but I hear HTS as more of a Circus Lupus, early Sonic Youth kinda take on the emo thing. Whatever, they rock, especially live. Z

I’ve been told their playing atlanta as well pretty soon. Hmmm… actually the guy who told me this asked me what harriet the spy sounded like. I had no clue… So, circus lupus and sonic youff? My friend Jeremy is lucky enough to get to see them while he is in annapolis while I am stuck here in lame’o Texas, although I did see/spend a lot of time with the boys from braid over the weekend, so life’s not all that bad
