The data I received from the Stem Cell transplant center in Houston includes a long list of "discomforts/risks".   Some are quite serious but of course, dying from lupus is "serious". contact me privately regarding this list. *********************************** KCat http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/mypage.htm http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/aslfaq20.htm   ("`-”-/").___..–”"`-._   (`6_ 6  )   `-.  (     ).`-.__.’`)    (_Y_.)’  ._   )  `._ `. “-..-”   _..`–’_..-_/  /–’_.’ ,’ (()),-”  (()),’    (((.-’

Stem cell transplant therapy has worked well for the genetic disease that I carry, CGD(Chronic Granulomatous Disease).  Our Genetics dr. said that if this treatment would have been around 16 yrs ago, my brother possibly would not have died. I really don’t know much about it though, sorry. Hugs, Susan
