Question:
Hi Gary, I have no idea what this is– I’ve been having it, too!! All over- nothing fits, from rings to Levi’s. My friend says that maybe it’s what I eat in the evening- carbs are bad after 2pm she says. So I’ll be trying that starting today. I’ll let you know how it goes. She says it’s something about how your body digests food… I’ve never had any trouble with carbs after 2 before… Good luck and let me know what works for you. -Kristin "Gary" <garydonne…@attbi.com> wrote in message

Hi Gary: I’ve had swelling at different points, and one explanation has been given is that it’s "inflammation" (in my case, of muscles and joints), basically draining to the extremities. I still get it a bit, always worse in the morning…. (Inflammation basically causes excess liquid..) I have had constant swelling in my hands, feet, forearms and calves for a little over 2 months. I have been to the doctore and originally he said it was angioedema. He prescibed me claritin and atarax which didnt help with the swelling but did help with the itchiness I was experiencing and the ocassional hives I got. When the swelling didnt go down he had me go for a bunch of other test. My blood test were all fine with the exception of a slightly raised white blood cell count. Echochardiogram, chest x-ray and ultrasound of my lower region all came back normal. I was tested for Lyme which came back fine. Blood test for kidneys, liver, etc. came back fine as well. The only symptoms I have is the constant swelling and ocassional joint pain in those areas when sitting in one position too long which I believe is from the swelling. My doctor is now sending me for a Catscan as well as sending me to a white blood cell specialist to go over my results. The allergist i had seen did say the the white blood cells that were raised were the ones usually involved with an allergen or infection but he couldn’t pinpoint a particular cause. These symptoms originally started after I had gotten over a bad chest cold this winter. I am now taking Allegra and Raniticide, a H2 blocker which seems to help with the swelling a little. The doctore did have me on a diuretic for a time to try to help with the swelling but that didnt work as well. Any ideas of what this could be? Any insight would be appreciated.
