Question:
No you’re not losing it Mary. I think you’re having a very normal stress/depression response to a stressful upsetting situation. I tend to beat myself up on things like this and it definitely has an effect on my physical well being as well as my mental well being. Being tired and feeling out of it are as much symptoms of depression or stress as they are of this disease. Give yourself a little breathing room, hon. This is soooo normal. hugs, KCat On Tue, 18 Jul 2000 22:37:50 -0700, Mary Speiser – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -<maryspe…@yahoo.com> wrote: >I don’t know what is going on with me but ever since i had >that SSDI exam with all the questions i’ve been brain dead >and so so tired and somewhat depressed. Dear Mary, Isn’t it great how many of your friends have gathered around to help you feel more upbeat? It’s hard to add anything to what those sweet folks wrote, but I’ll just remind you that I suspect you are in the middle of a flare or acute depressive episode, *either* of which will cause what happened at the SSD office. I know that when I’m in the middle of either one it feels that I’ve always felt this way and never will feel better again, but nope. It’s just the regular down in the ups and downs of life. The best side of this is that if indeed you answered so many wrong as you think you did, you will surely get your disability. I sure hope that I am not on the up side when I go in. I’ll be sure to answer everything right, and get nothing! Hugs and good luck, Barbara Mary Speiser <maryspe…@yahoo.com> wrote in message

My daughter gets very fatigued like that too when she’s having a flareup (and stress can certainly cause them). She does better if she doesn’t fight it and gets lots of extra rest. Usually the fatigue lets up within a few days. If it doesn’t, we call her rheumatologist. Sandra

I don’t know what is going on with me but ever since i had that SSDI exam with all the questions i’ve been brain dead and so so tired and somewhat depressed. I just can’t get over how many questions i couldn’t answer because i couldn’t think or keep my concentration. I think back to some of my answers and say to myself where the hell did i come up with that answer? I’ve also had IBS problems really bad since that day, and loss of appetite and have been sleeping non stop, have no energy, feel like a wet rag!! Maybe i really am losing it? Mary/az

Mary~~Hi! It’s Kim. Mary, you did your best at the ssdi interview. I know you are worried, but now the waiting begins all over again for the verdict, and you can’t eat yourself over "what ifs". Switch to thinking positively, even on little things about your day. We are here for you. Don’t ever forget that, and post whenever you need to talk. I have "brain dead" days, and can hardly function at all, then boom, a relativly better day, but still must rest. It sounds as though you are pushing too hard with those posts. Mary, we understand. Let them go, and pick up with our current maladies. This is selfish, ’cause mine is one of them. No, it sounds like a natural reaction to a very stressful experience. You may be having a mini-flare. Hi Mary, first off, I think you are messing with your own mind LOL. Really, you need to quit worrying whether or not you answered those dumb questions or what the hey they were. It is over and nothing can change it now. I know that is hard to do friend, but I found that is the best. Those nuts (pun) will decide what is going to happen any way, not you. So when you find out what is going on then cause the ruckus LOL or have a happy day….
) My IBS acts up to when I am stress and worried, yes I worry, more than people know, and then the old belly gives a growl and poopy you know what happens next. then the fatigue sets in and don’t feel like eating either. Maybe that is because when or if I do then the belly starts a growling and ooops here we go again. Take some metamucil to add a little bulk to your gut, that sometimes makes the irritability in there go away. works for me ha ha…Well, sometimes LOL NO NO NO you are not loosing it. If you do I will help you find it friend. It is a damn shame you have to go through this just to get help from the SS. But I know it is a relief after you get the ok to receive SSD. It will come, I am sure of it. But like I told Tina, the wait is the worst part…LOng and tiring. keep plugging away and it will come. But if you keep this crap up with the put downs, I will have to fly to AZ and slap you silly. Sorry, I am not a violent person ha ha. Come on now smile and have a good day today and know that things will get better. I mean it now, Find something you love to do, or just get on the phone and phone a friend and yak. You do have my number. Now I can’t remember if I gave it to you. You hang in there too and smell the roses, they are out there. Go eat some ice cream and have a good day, no matter what. NO YOU ARE NOT CRAZY…. Janers
