Question:
Shelagh, I just spoke with the guy who did the site & he’s really happy to have us; make up a new password & I’ll have him change it. Or you can do it if you want; Jim Cook’s just been a family friend for a long time. He’s not picky about who he talks to; he absolutely loves to converse. He’s a nice guy. Then you can let everyone know what the new password is. I thought the other site was wonderful too, but this one is so much faster! I have Roadrunner & still the other picture site was very slow, so I can only imagine how long the dial-up people were waiting to view stuff. Hi Candi, I see we have many artists in the group. I was so intimidated, I almost didn’t put my stuff up! Yeah, get a new password and then e-mail it to all us regulars. My stuff went in (Saturday a.m. 11:30 PST) under foofer, so it wasn’t changed at that point. The only critcism that I have about the site is that it doesn’t give nice, large images when you click on each photo, as the other site does. I really wanted to see your watercolors in more detail. I studied art for *several* years and was most impressed by watercolor, but it is the only medium I could not succeed with. I love the "mother teresa," the high contrast and so much passage with the light and her veil. Gee, as I said, I wish there were some way to enlarge the photos. I know that it is the using of smaller photos that makes the site work better. A couple of suggestions: Can your friend change the program to give us enlargements? Otherwise, perhaps we can use the other site for artwork, and this easy one for photographs. Waddaya think? Mair "Candi Bowen" <reen…@neo.rr.com> wrote in message

Response:
Hi Mair, I’ve noticed that some of the pictures on his site have enlargements; I’ll ask him. I do know from doing websites that the person providing the image has to submit 2; one small & one larger with higher resolution, so you have the option of spending a bit more time opening the better one. Jim said that I can change the password. I’m just waiting to hear from some people what they would prefer it to be. I’m trying for something easily remembered since a lot of us have brain block. If you have any suggestions, email me. Yeah, my Mother Theresa is one of my favorites. She’s now gracing the wall of my doctor’s home in Cleveland. I’ve got lots more & have 2 children’s picture books awaiting publication (keep your fingers crossed!) & am working on a young adult novel. I’ve been published in advertising, but not fiction, which is what I really want to do. You’d think I’d have my own web site, wouldn’t you? It’s been half done for 5 years. I mean, it’s free, too! Duh. <snip> Wow, that’s so cool that he created the program! Very nice indeed. As for the passwords, I didn’t mean for all to have separate passwords. What Shelagh did on her site is email the regulars on ASL with one username and password which we can all use, but just didn’t post it on the ng publicly because when it was originally public, some troll started tampering with all the pics. We don’t need individual passwords, just one for everyone that isn’t posted publicly. (Hope I explained myself… Brain fog at it’s best.) Thanks again Candi! I love sharing pics with people. -Sharon — "Don’t make me come down there…" -God

Thanks for the site Candy! Both of them are great, and now we have tons more room to play with! :) I just uploaded way too many pics, lol. Hope y’all don’t mind that I uploaded like 6 pics. If so, lemme know and I’ll pull ‘em. Most of them are pieces of artwork, Dee you might like to take a peak. Maybe you could upload some of your works too. Kristen, you have a jewel of your daughters that you drew that you should upload too. -Sharon — "Don’t make me come down there…" -God

Maybe Candi could email everyone with a secret password and username like Shelagh did. This site is a lot faster too, so that is probably good for those with dial-up. Both sites are wondeful finds! Free is a great price! ;) -Sharon — "Don’t make me come down there…" -God
