oh please.  tell ya what – wear those little cat bells on your shoes :-)  maybe she can count better when she really knows something instead of making it up. >work until April 16th and left. I can’t blame lupus brain fog for coming >into work anyway since I don’t have lupus – I blame that on being a moron.

nah – conscientious and willing to work to keep your job. >The brain fog I had where I couldn’t remember what time I came into work >seems to be stress. My doctor has put me on Buspar, but it takes a couple >weeks to work, but maybe by then I will be able to remember things more >often.

:-)  I hope it helps. I found ADs impaired my memory beyond even the typical brain fog.  but for some it probably helps if it’s stress or anxiety related. >If anyone knows of a job in the San Jose area, let me know!

sorry – nothing in Houston that’s for sure.  Between Enron and Compaq looks like our once booming economy is going to bite the big one. RIF-ing to come at the space center probably.  they like to claim time-card fraud to get rid of people there. Take care and best of luck on this.  Suck it up and be better than them, while you seek other employment. :)

The good news for me is that I am out on a Worker’s Comp injury, so I’m not unemployed and I’m not quitting – unless there’s a decent job with my name on it!

Fans of my whining will remember that three weeks ago I was suspended from my job for having two company websites open on my desktop. They called me back in late last week after they found out they couldn’t fire me. The good news is that I got a three week paid vacation from it. The bad news is that my depiscable, moronic managers have decided to torment me to death. My manager called me into a meeting to tell me that from her desk she could hear that I wasn’t doing all the things I am required to do in my meaningless, dreary little job. How she could hear me over the 3 people who sit in front of me is a mystery. Well, not really. All she had to do was lie. She also has far too much time on her hands as she said she has been counting how may times I go to the bathroom. She also demonstrated that she can’t count. I resisted the urge to have a screaming, crying, throwing -hings tantrum. Instead I realized that my Worker’s Comp doctor wanted me to stay out of work until April 16th and left. I can’t blame lupus brain fog for coming into work anyway since I don’t have lupus – I blame that on being a moron. The brain fog I had where I couldn’t remember what time I came into work seems to be stress. My doctor has put me on Buspar, but it takes a couple weeks to work, but maybe by then I will be able to remember things more often. I saw my doctor again today, as my Union has urged me to get my doctor to restrict me from working in a high-stress sales environment or "(or one that has assholes for managers)." I now have that on paper, signed by an M.D. If anyone knows of a job in the San Jose area, let me know!

Rep, That is what usually happens, when they can’t fire you for any reason they have they just make you so miserable that you quit.  So what it boils down to is you can stay and do your job and put up with the bull or you can look for another job..which aren’t that easy to come by…and with the cost of living in the Bay Area (San Jose etc), I would bet that you would have to have one lined up to start on Monday when you left the other one on Friday!!! We never fired our employees where I was a manager but the boss would have us cut hours, mess with schedules and such and the person would always quit….saves on the ole unemployment taxes etc etc etc for the company.
