OT computer question DSL

Question:

DUH thats what I know about Computers janers  who is scratching her head right now

Response:

I hear you Janers.  Duh, I just want some high speed connection and a better processor than the monster I first had….didn’t want to be a rocket scientist and have to know all of the details about the inner workings of my computer. But I think that I have got it straight now.  The computer is "new" enough that it should hook up to high speed DSL without a problem. Sherry "Janers" <rojak…@bright.net> wrote in message

They would, with a 286... I've got a little box containing an 8086, 80286, 80386, & 80486 - all were removed from old friends when they went to that great skip in the sky. -- Andy [Chair, N E Lupus Group] See http://www.kitzbuhel.demon.co.uk/lupus for more!

I had a Pentium MMX, now an AMD K6-2 (II) 500 MHz Can it whistle and chew too? <g> It sure worked great on hi-speed cable. There’s a comparison chart here http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/processor.asp and "The pentium 2 was with a 300mhz core with 150mhz L2 and 66mhz local bus, while the K6-2 had a Super 7 motherboard, the core was at 300, L2 cache at 100mhz, main memory at 100mhz, AGP at 66 and the PCI at 33. " whatever that means. J

I’d say yes. The bracketed R will be for Registered Trademark; it’s not a class of Pentium. — Andy [Chair, N E Lupus Group] See http://www.kitzbuhel.demon.co.uk/lupus for more!
