Hi BJ That’s great news to read! Many more good days to come! What breed is your dog? I am really enjoying the companionship with my new dog and am finding all dog things a fascinating new interest. Roper is a cross shorthair pointer/shephard mix nothing flashy and we are going to obedience training stuff when I am feeling up to it. Gee I have enough trouble with him and the basics. He does *heel* real well haha – follows behind me stepping on my slipper heels tripping me up – well ya said heel! dopey-ropey … my own little champ

This is so nice to hear BJ I am happy for you . We so want to get a new Golden we are watching the papers and I am asking my vet also looked into it on line. After my daughter gets back from NY in July we will get more serious I think we have such a void and I think we are all ready for this. My daughter would be great with him and needs a companion to get through high school she is in 8th grade this fall. I think these relationships are priceless. I used to show my own dogs, and those of others. I can’t do it anymore, so my friend hired anyother handler. She is not experienced with sporting dogs, so she called on me for help. I went to the dog club with my old (13) dog who is a champion show dog. We spent an hour and a half giving instruction. My old girl was just strutting her stuff. We both had a good time. I was tired, but had a great feeling of accomplishment. Second CGT–My hubby was cutting grass last night. It was cloudy, so I took over the lawn mower and cut an area that would be as big as a city yard. It was so nice to do something that physical. I have come such a long way.
