I have Familial Mediterranean Fever – guess what one of the symptoms is? My normal temperature is 97.3 when I’m not having an attack; then it goes between 99.7 and 103.2.

Response:

Yep, I’m always lower than normal! Same with my kids and my husband tends to run lower than normal. So if I have a 99.1F, I’ve got a fever! Bev "CSP" <csper…@juno.com> wrote in message

The weather guesser said it may go up to almost *80* here later on in the week!  Right now, it is flirting (but not too seriously) with 70. The bone Dr said it is healing, two more weeks in the dreaded boot. REST!  Damn, woman, you aren’t in a contest.  The house can wait. Fever has broken – down to 98.9 this morning and heading South. REST! Loving hugs Judith, warming up in SoCal

Hi Judith, Yes, it is a lovely day. It is just above freezing here, and the sun is shining now. The wind is a bit of a pain though. I just had the girls out for a walk. They are fine. I am very tired. I have been overdoing it, and I know it. We are in the process of redecorating and things have been upside down. I have been choosing paint and wallpaper. I have had several trips to the city as a result. I think that I will have to sleep this afternoon. How is your fever? How is that foot? Weren’t you scheduled to see the bone guy yesterday? When I am "well" (that is, not flaring) my normal temp is 97.7.  my daughter’s is 97.3.  It’s not at all uncommon for people to run below 98.6.  There is some evidence that Fahrenheit messed up his calculations or took data incorrectly such that 98.6 is really *not* normal temp. I do hear more complaints about it among lupies and other autoimmune patients.  But that may just be because we are more aware of our temp then "healthy" people are.  And there is the difference that when we get temps of 98.6 or more it feels like a fever.  People who run low normally don’t necessarily "feel" 98.6 like we do. *********************************** KCat – I am not a medical professional.  The contents of this post are based soley on my experiences and opinions http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/mypage.htm http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/aslfaq30.htm   ("`-”-/").___..–”"`-._   (`6_ 6  )   `-.  (     ).`-.__.’`)    (_Y_.)’  ._   )  `._ `. “-..-”   _..`–’_..-_/  /–’_.’ ,’ (()),-”  (()),’    (((.-’

My ":normal" is 97.6 – 97.8, but I’ve been running a low grade fever the past few weeks – around 99.8 to 100.9. Judith, running hot and cold in SoCal

Aw gee – not even a spell check on aDnormal? Judith, trying to behave in SoCal

Response:

There have been recent posts related to elevated body temperatures. Do any of you have decreased body temperature?  Mine seems to stay around 97.6 F and lower.

Response:

Thyroid problems can cause lower than normal body temperatures.  Just a thought. Sandra

Response:

Hi CSP, My normal temp is 97.3F. You can guess that a temp of 99.8 feels like a significant fever to me. I am under the care of an endocrinologist, but the thyroid levels are normal now. Actually my readings are on the high side. I don’t know what causes that. BJ-adnormal in Sask.(no comments Judith) "CSP" <csper…@juno.com> wrote in message
