Well, if you’re serious, you’re coming down too soon (unless you’re walking to Chicago first). Get a ticket for Honolulu first, to arrive on Jan. 11. Then we can work out the other parts, among which needs to be your agreement not to get sunsick on me! (I’ll have enough trouble keeping myself from overexposure!)

I’m walking. The air fare from Regina to Chicago would likely be more than it would cost to go to Hawaii. I’ll just hitch. BJ-Sk. Canada "cwhite0714" <cwhite0…@fsi.net> wrote in message

Back?! I have to come home? Yeah, I’d miss my catses.

Hi, y’all. Several not-so-cheesy good things. One, I’ve been back on 400 mg. of Plaquenil for nearly two weeks now, and I’m actually regaining enough energy to do something besides crash after work. Two, one of those "something besides crash" is that I just finished emailing the guy who won this year’s Nobel in economics. Hope he responds. I’ve been putting off sending him my research abstract for so long that even if he’s willing to read it, he may be unavailable until it’s too late. But it’s so nice just to have checked a little To-Do off the list. And third, I’ll be presenting the proposed research (my initial ideas, essentially) this January at an international conference in Hawaii. My employer OK’d an extra professional day after the conference, so if I’m not knocked out by the time change, the sun and the long conference hours, I’ll have 24 hours to see the area a little. I’m hoping to take a helicopter tour, since I’ve never been in one. But if I had the chance to skydive, I might do that too. Just thought I’d share good stuff, since I’m almost always posting a paranoid question.

Hi Cathi, Good stuff there. I am just getting to some of these posts now, so I am a little late saying "well done". Hawaii you say! Hmmm. I wonder if anyone would notice if you smuggled in this prairie chick . BJ-Sk. Canada "cwhite0714" <cwhite0…@fsi.net> wrote in message

Oh, I doubt anyone would notice. Wanna come? My room would cost the same with an extra person in it, and I got a pretty good fare there from Chicago. Since the conference includes all arts and humanities, you might even want to attend some of it. (It also includes several meals, which ain’t bad….)
