Question:
Hi One thing I found really alleviated my nausea with my methotrexate was taking a milk thistler, liver cleaner type supplement after I took the metho. I realized that the reason I was feeling so poorly was because my liver was having trouble processing the chemicals. Taking milk thistle supplements really helps. (I used to take cyclophosphamide, and really struggled on it. However, near the end of the treatment, I got this brainwave to take something to help my liver, and suddenly I felt way better on that too). Response:
Sandra; does this stuff ever get any easier.. I have been on Mtx now for 1 year along with Remicade. Since August; I have been off Pentasa which was supposed to help my Crohns… made my Lupus rashes worse.Pentasa is a newer 5asa drug; yet is still a sulfa-drug. I still have markings daily and it is frustrating. The shower seems to activate the arms and breast markings. Some days I look at what the drugs ie; cure are doing to me… I will be 40 this August ; yet feel much older…I use an Intra-Muscular injection once a week generally I inject Sunday night before bedtime so my nausea starts during my sleep… Rather than waking up to create a Shitty-day… I still have not been able to find the solution to the nausea thing… The have had me off the Mtx during my pre and post – op of my toe amputation. I will restart this Sunday; fun fun… So much for a 3- week holiday without Mtx… Anyone else have some insight to this situation… Does anyone know about a drug called ASLERA.. Thanks! Susan E@YOU!
