Lupus & pregnancy

Question:

where are you from? My fiancee is pregnant with Lupus. She is now quite poorly with it in hospital. My advice is to constantly harass your doctor(s) for information and extra observations.Try www.uklupus.co.uk they have some good info and links. kind regards iain — ^^ Max ^^

Response:

Hi Max, I hope your fiancee will recover quickly! May I ask which specifically problems she has with regards to the pregnancy? I found a lot of interesting information on the web page you referred to. Thanks! I’m Norwegian. I’ve spent all summer in Texas and seems like I’m going to stay since I hardly have any aches and pains because of this climate. I haven’t yet been to see a doctor, since this is early in the pregnancy. Besides, I’ll be back in Norway soon with the doctors that have known me for years and years. Feels a lot "safer". Will be back in Norway in about 3 weeks, and then come back to Texas since I feel so much better. I was really starting to worry about all the possible, and perhaps impossible problems Lupus SLE could mean for the baby. I was particularly happy to see that it’s very unlikely that the baby will also have Lupus! Again: All the best to your fiancee, yourself and the baby! And many thanks!
