Lupus and Dental Work

Question:

On Jan 7th I had 2 wisdom teeth pulled. It is 5 1/2 weeks later and the healing is very slow. The upper socket blew out ( there is a hole from my mouth through the upper jaw to my sinus cavity ). The oral surgeon said all is well but I cannot talk very loudly or blow my nose. It hurts…..  If anyone of you are going to have dental work, please be sure and tell your dentist  about your Lupus and all the meds you take.  It really makes a difference. Zibby

Zibby — As a general rule you should tell a treating doctor about all illnesses you have and drugs you take.  But maybe I missed something in your post.  What is the connection between your dental problems and your lupus? The condition you described can happen to someone whether or not lupus was present. Dan
