Question:
Greetings ASCP gang… I’m have to go back to the doc tomorrow. I have been feeling like garbage lately, and I have been almost unable to roll out of bed. My back hurts much more than usual, and higher up, and my heels hurt (???) but not the balls of my feet. I have have to use my crutch/cane almost constantly these days, and I haven’t quite gotten used to being stared at by people who wonder why such a young woman limps around like I do. My doc wants to do more blood tests on me, and I’m not quite sure what he is looking for. The last blood work I had showed an elevated SED rate, but he says he’s not worried about RA at this point. Sorry about the whining. I generally make it a point NOT to do this, but I need some good thoughts from ASCP. Truth be told, I’m getting scared since my doc has not told me what he suspects, and he is generally very good about doing so. Jefe, will you grab up Charlie Tuna and the Painsketeers and everyone, fire up the WeinerBlimp and float over my doctor’s office tomorrow morning at about 9:30 PST? Hi Lily – Good luck at the Dr’s!!! I hope you get some answers. The SED rate just measures the amount of inflammation present in your body regardless of the cause(s) or diseases. It’s not just an RA indicator. Hang in there! Kitty

I hope you’re feeling better soon. Please ask the doctor what it is he is looking for – it may ease your mind a bit.
