Well, Alaska was up there but I just did that. My hubby wanted to take me to Paris several years ago mut I chickened out of the long flight. I’m getting more used to flying, so maybe I’ll get there, too. > What is your favorite color?
Red – the bright, fire-engine kind! > What type of music do you like to listen to?
I love most things by Brahms since he wrote for altos and violins, and I sing alto and played violin for 8 years in school. Don’t guffaw, but I’m also a Barry Manilow fan. > What one thing was the most embarrassing to you? Recent or years gone by.
I led an embarassingly uncompassionate life before scleroderma, kind of selfish and a smart aleck (who, ME???) It took getting something like this and experiencing the problems until I realized how many truly nice people are out there, willing to help you with no thought of "payback." I also found out how much pain and suffering and courage there is out there – people are truly amazing. > What is your favorite number 1-10 and explain why?
5 has always been my luck number, and I like the inherent balance of it. > Can you unscramble these words?>
Yes, but I’d rather leave then as is and live in De Nile today… – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> 1. derosclmae > 2. cotdor > 3. suupl > 5. ttmenoinapp > 4. rusattonif > 5, pttient > 6. lloej > And the winner is? > okay gang let’s see who can do this- > Doris

Merry Oldsmobile was 1905. K-k-k-katie was World War One, He’d Have To Get Under was, I think, 1914. So was I Love A Piano. He did a lot of George M. Cohan and Irving Berlin songs. Irving Kaufman was great too. I have a cassette recording of How Ya Gonna Keep ‘Em Down On The Farm (After They’ve Seen Paree). I’ve heard a couple of other artists versions of it. I think if someone was in the recording industry when it came out, they recorded it! LOL I do believe By Jingo is Billy Murray’s. My family doesn’t understand my fascination with his music, either. Billy Murray’s recordings _are_ fun, aren’t they? He sang a lot of automobile songs (In My Merry Oldsmobile was a big hit for him). I can even pick him out of quartets. I grew up hearing K-k-k-katie. It was my grandparents’ favorite song and the song most identified, after In My Merry Oldsmobile and He’d Have To Get Under, with him. I could listen to his songs all day. Boy, you got lucky. I’ve heard his recordings via Real Audio, mp3s and cassette tapes. I plan, when I recover finacially from moving across the country, to order CDs of his music from several sites. Nell
