Question:
Geez, I am SO sick of being sick! And it sneaks up and grabs me by the short hairs and BOOM end of life as I know it. I can’t plan a freaking thing, I can’t offer to do ANYTHING that needs commitment, and I can’t even plan ahead to take my 15 year old anywhere. I am pissed, disgusted, depressed, and ready to shake the next doctor I catch until his/her teeth fall out. How on God’s green earth can we send crap to Mars, but no one can figure out migraines?! Now, we throw lupus into the mix with the fibro, and we have THREE things we can’t figrue out meds for. AND I don’t even know WHAT is causing the migraines. I’ve had them since my early teens, and now,at age 35, my doc thinks they are connected to the lupus. Yeah, right. I’m allergic to so many meds it is ridiculous. Benadryl even makes me sick for crying out loud. Grr. I am going outside to stomp on flowers now. (end of vent) And thanks you guys. Go get those damned flowers! Wear the big boots, too. But watch out for kicking trees. They tend to be a bit harder than pansies. Robin (wondering about the theraputic benefits of flower destruction, but happy to try anything once…)

Karen, I’m impressed! I’ve been trying to get the weeds out from under my roses for the past week . . I can’t seem to get under them without causing bodily harm!!! (but the less dangerous parts of my yard are WEED FREE

Still rather cantankerous, but after a while even a scowl starts to hurt! I go to the doctor tomorrow, so we’ll see what brew she’s cooked up for me to try this time. Oh–Wet is an important word for the purple loose strife. That’s probably the reason we don’t have any in south Texas! Well, thank God. At least we don’t have to worry about kicking trees here in Oklahoma. They’d be vicious out on the llano after dark. And as for kicking pansies … I can’t believe that! BobB p.s. To Will. Please note "kicking trees." Another English language pitfall. (And, for spelling variations in English, take a run at "vicious".)

purple loose-strife is also known as: Lythrum salicaria & is in the Lythraceae family. It’s a tall spiked plant with purple-pink flowers. It flowers from June through September… it is found in wet meadows, and along the roadside. it has started to become a problem of sorts in the New England area as it spreads rapidly and overgrows other vegetation that is natural to these areas. the botany prof. etc. are concerned about it & are trying to figure out how to stop it’s rapid spread…( took botany & pysch classes at UMaine ).

i’ll help you stomp too,
but only on the "supposed" non-medicinal ones….maybe some "skunk cabbage" or "vetch"…….though if we could do a "planned" stomping, we could greatly reduce the problem we’re
having here in Maine – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -with the over-population of the Purple Loose-strife……i can see us now, a bunch of migraine-ers running around the countryside stomping on loose-strife while wearing dark sunglasses & holding kleenix’s & ice packs in our hands….
