Home from Gamma Rays

Question:

Cindy, Glad to see you are home.  I am sorry you could not tolerate the second round but maybe just one bag will help since you did say less joint pain. Is there something they can give you before you have this that may stop the rejection going on??? Kim was thinking of you and sent me an email and well my server caught it, virus, I mailed her back and told her what to do and have not heard a word from her yet.  I hope it did not wipe out her system.  She will go nuts. She was wondering about this treatement and I told her I did not even see that you were going to get it done. If you have some time and feel ok, send her something she can get email, and hope she gets it.  She usually checks in with me or KCat but nothing from either of them… Drat. God bless America janers

Response:

I’m so sorry to hear about the bad experience with gamma globulin.  It’s great, however, that the relief it provided from your lupus was so dramatic.  Must be some powerful stuff.  I hope the positive effects last awhile. Sandra

Response:

Cindy, so glad that you have at least the benifit from the first bag and that you are joint pain free.  I sure hope that keeps up.  Hopefully when you try again you will not reject.  You are in my thoughts and prayers! Sherry

Hi Cindy, Boy, am I glad to hear from you. It is good to hear that you got some benefit out of the first treatment anyway. Perhaps after a break, they will be able to try again. I will be thinking about you and will remember you in with my prayers for the countless others who are suffering such pain from the terrible world tragedy in the U.S. I am anxious to hear some news about Wes too. His wife told us he was in hospital. Thought I’d mention that in case you missed that. Take care of yourself. Hugs from BJ "wards" <jcwar…@earthlink.net> wrote in message

Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the nice posts. I  made it through the first treatment ok  i.e. the first bag of Gamma Globulin but the second bag didn’t work I rejected it. It was quite an experience. The first went so well I was thrilled. easy as pie, Then you take a 8 hour break and start the second bag. BTW it takes 2000 people donating to make up a bag that is roughly about 2 liters (they go by weight to determine what you actually get) Well less than 30 mins into the second bag I started with the headache and fever  chill vomiting and high blood pressure. So they pulled me off and that was that. I was sent home the next afternoon after I stabilized a bit that was friday and it was demerol for the migraine and phenergan for vomiting round the clock till monday. I got a bad case of thrush. So I am just now eating lightly. It really has been a fog the last few days then yesterday was so awful I thought I was still demerol dreaming is so sad . The good part is I have very little joint pain so I do believe the first bag did do some good Tuesday and today I didn’t take any pain med what so ever first time in 2 years!!!! So it was bout 50/50 I want to try again but I hope with all my heart I don’t reject again that is rough. I thank you all for your prayers and good vibes and wishes now we need to send them  to all the victims of this senseless attack on the US. And please keep our Military guys safe . Cindy
