If she has Netscape or IE4/5 she can go to the hamline URL www.hamline.edu/lupus/ and click on Usenet (under the Search button). *IF* her ISP has set her up to view newsgroups than it should automatically bring her to ASL. However, she may need to call her ISP and ask for the "news server address" in order to connect to Usenet. Her ISP helpdesk should know how to talk her through the process. She can’t be shy – got to talk to the people that know. I can also hook her up with freeware for Usenet but again she’ll need to know what the name of her news server is.
