totally understand!  My daughter usually is the one that snaps at people.  I still hand out my little "business" cards.  Some folks carry LFA pamphlets with them as well.  But yes, there are times when you just want to get people off your back.  I have to fight not to say "Don’t worry, I’m not contagious" – especially when some cashier very carefully takes their pen back after I’ve written a check or signed a receipt.  in a doc’s office one morning – too crowded so I took the only seat available.  The gentleman next to me kept leaning further and further away w/o actually getting up (which would have made it more obvious eh? DUH!)  after about 10 minutes he was practically scraping the floor on the other side of his chair with his elbows.  It was hard not to say something.  I try to educate people in these situations but sometimes you just want to tell them to get a grip. *********************************** KCat – I am not a medical professional.  The contents of this post are based soley on my experiences and opinions http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/mypage.htm http://www.ghg.net/schwerpt/aslfaq20.htm   ("`-”-/").___..–”"`-._   (`6_ 6  )   `-.  (     ).`-.__.’`)    (_Y_.)’  ._   )  `._ `. “-..-”   _..`–’_..-_/  /–’_.’ ,’ (()),-”  (()),’    (((.-’

BJ I have the same thing happen often and since we flooded and I did packing and putting up i have huge bruises all over my hands and arms  just takes a little bump to make a huge bruise anyway we have had people look at us  me then my husband like they thought he was abusing me I really hate that as he is the sweetest guy around. I have also had the occosional snort from teenage boys when I was swollen from the prednisone. I can’t help but wonder what their affliction will eventually be. Hope they learn compassion from it. We  all have. Soft Hugs Cindy

BJ, Maybe some of those people who ask about your bruises think you are a victum of abuse. Best Wishes, Marv "BJ" <B…@sk.nojunk.ca> wrote in message

Response:

Hi  Friends, I often get comments from total stangers about my skin. You see I have hemorrages that can’t always be hidden under long sleeves. They are on my hands and sometimes are quite large. Usually when someone asks,I just say I have been ill. Well, yesterday a waitress asked me, with a look of disgust on her face, what was wrong with my hands. I guess I was a little ticked off, so I told her I had AIDS. I thought she would faint. Now I am sure that a psychologist would say I was being passive aggressive, but I say it just felt good. I love a good chuckle. Smiles, BJ
