A social worker friend of mine was warned about his language by his (gay) superiors. During a conversation about a female client he had used the phrase "The lady said …" Such language is NOT acceptable! A note about his lack of respect for women has been entered into his file. Turns out the daughter took a field trip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the man she met (who had almost the same exact chat screen name as my nephew!) was a big burly convict-looking New York City Cop. The Judge is going to send the daughter to counseling and order her to perform community service … and give her a hug.

The procedure also involves bypassing much of the small intestine so that less food is absorbed into the body. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama recently stopped paying for the operations while it decides how to handle claims; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida has also decided to stop paying for the operation. My other questions: Did they add an additional 10% of calories? Exactly what does "10 percent" mean? 10 percent of what? Volume? Calories? My recollections of mice are years old, but, I think, they weigh many times less than 246 grams, an amount that those mice "put on" on average, according to the report. According to http://www.rmca.org/Articles/cagesize.htm, average weight of a mouse is 25 grams. I have hard times believing that any sort of "mutant mice" would be able to GAIN 10 times more the weight of an average mouse. Perhaps you were kidding and I did not get the joke, in which case I apologize.

Hi BJ, and Wes, and Everyone Else, First, my apologies for not having written in awhile, but again I need the electronic shoulder to lean on… Kelley has been struggling in her ongoing battle with lupus. She contracted pneumonia again six weeks ago which her doctors have been treating with the strongest oral antibiotics available. She has also developed nine more spots on her legs and those already on face and arms are flaring again. Everybody, cross your fingers I go to the college tomorrow morning to register, sign up for classes, etc. I’m a little nervous tonight. There are 18 pages of English classes listed in the directory. I have to pick just one or two. I figure I’ll be a chicken and place my resignation from my job through the little mail slot over the weekend. That’s giving her from this weekend until Jan 2 to find somebody. That’s giving her 6 weeks notice. The last day of school will be Dec 23. That will be my last day!!! (I wonder if she will expect me to be at work on Jan 3?) I guess I should give her the resignation in person that would be the kindest thing to do. I’ll have to think about that. But for right now I just have to get through tomorrow morning at the college. One step at a time!! Nervous hardly explains it, I’m scared, excited, anxious, etc. all rolled into one. The local campus is very small. I might have to go to a different campus for some classes. I don’t know. Just wish me luck. No reply necessary – just cross your fingers and those on the western side of NA just cross your fingers when you wake up!! I’ll be there about 9 AM EST Bev

We saw an owl a month or so ago in the tree on our walks. Then I found out that there’s also "little owls" hanging around. It was kewl to see him up above us on a branch in a tree. Hugs J
