Question:
Anyone have a Dodge Ram that they lifted?? And if so how does this compare to other’s. I’ve seen an abundance of Jeep’s,Bronco’s,Blazer’s and such but havent seen any dodge’s. Thank’s James <<Attention:: Hale-Bopp Flight 201 has been delayed due to strong head wind’s. It will not reach it’s destination till the year 2042.!!!DO NOT EAT THE APPLESAUCE!!!
Response:
I cuurently own a 79 Trailduster. Same as a Ramcharger. I used Rancho Add-a-Leafs to lift it about 2 inches. I like the way it rides offroad, but on road is a bit stiff. Braking ability is reduced and rolling becomes a better posibility because of the stiffness and higher center of gravity. But it’s easy to get used to. Between that and Rancho shocks it’s rare that I hit the bumpstops anymore unless I go airborn. The more the lift, the more you have to worry about longer brakelines and steering corrections. If you go with 4+ inches of lift I would really recommend getting a longer front brakeline but steering correction is only a must with 6+. On a Dodge there is really no need to go higher than 4 inches because combining this and fender trimming (82 and earlier) you can fit up to 38" tires with no problem. Doing this will keep your center of gravity lower, less likelyu to roll. GOOD LUCK! LUPUS – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Anyone have a Dodge Ram that they lifted??
