Question:
… and we’ll rule out domestic violence right away ’cause my wife is gentle sweetie!!! :-) For some reason I seem to be bruising "big time" lately. Not only am I bruising where I’m taking the MTX and Enbrel shots, but all the way down/up my legs/arms and especially around my ankles/wrists. Lupus related??? Any thoughts/concerns??? — Kendall F. Hi Kendall, Yes, lupus related platelet problems jumps to my mind. You better get a CBC immediately. Platelets can get so low that you are in danger of a fatal hemmorage. I am not trying to frighten you. I just want to stress the urgency of that condition, should that be your problem. I have been in that position myself and know that it requires intervention. probably platelet numbers as BJ said. Although mine don’t have to get below the reference range for me to start bruising. they need only get below 170. could be other things too and should check it out IMOAlso.

I bruise a lot too… platelets are fine for me. Anti inflammatories can cause you to bruise…. also high doses of Vit E. Anything that "thins" your blood. Nicole "K3" <k3@(86_THE_SPAM)maine.rr.com> wrote in message
