And some vaccines, such as influenza and yellow fever, which are grown in hens eggs. If you consider viruses to be animals, you also need to avoid "live virus" vaccinations such as measles, mumps, polio (an inactivated version exists but that’s killed virus), BGC or rubella. Inactivated vaccines include whooping cough, typhoid, influenza, and pneumococcus. Most of the other vaccinations are produced by micro-organisms. If in doubt, consult your conscience and your doctor. — Andy [Chair, N E Lupus Group] See http://www.kitzbuhel.demon.co.uk/lupus for more!

That’s wonderful news, Lynne! : ) You should be very proud of yourself! Can I ask you why you stopped the animal products & dairy? Do they deplete the type of calcium you need for the osteoporosis or was it for another reason? Nonetheless, it was a major diet change & it’s never an easy thing to do. I hope you celebrate(d) accordingly. : ) Hugs4u, Maggie

That is excellent news. Wondering why you went vegan? Was it for medical reasons or just a personal decision not to eat animals or their products? Bev "herbwormwood" <herbwormw…@lycos.co.uk> wrote in message
