"Bayta Attack" invades California

Question:

Something most non-Lupies wouldn’t understand. Like going shopping, or planting a garden in the dark, or getting to go out to dinner. All the so-called "normal" things we do not take for granted. "Dawn S" <kend…@samlink.com> wrote in message

Hi Dawn, A few months back when most of us seemed "down" and posts were often on the negative side, BJ posted a "Cheesy Good Thing" (CGT) to try get us thinking in a more positive manner – and it worked! As I see it, a "CGT" is something good that has occurred that you were not expecting – Not a "major" like winning the lottery but something it might help us to notice in spite of all the crap that goes along with lupus etal. For me, realizing that I was, in fact, "running" at all is something I should not take for granted but it is something which might slip by unnoticed in the day’s frustrations, hence, a CGT.      BJ will, I hope, refine that definition when she gets a chance:)      What she also suggested was that each Friday we each post one CGT that had happened during the week – a way of encouraging positive thinking, of course.  Althought regular posting of the CGTs has not occurred, every now and then someone will post one and I, for one, enjoy both the reminder and hearing about the CGT itself. Thank for asking and THANKS BJ. Jackie in CA – Dragging her tush today but still enjoying having had a couple of days of feeling good enough to run. > "Jackie" <lkolb…@earthlink.net> wrote in message > news:j8Bt8.2549$L1.216342@newsread2.prod.itd.earthlink.net…

Hi Bev, Gee, you really expained the CGT so well. I was just thinking of starting a post about it. All lot of new people might not have a clue what we are talking about. Good job there. BJ-in awe of your word power "Beverley" <pottings…@sybercom.net> wrote in message

Cheesy-good is just an expression we tend to use out here for all the silly good things, cheap smiles, minor positive things in life, and the fun Eureka’s we find in our lives. We have cheesy-good thing (CGT) threads so we can share the joys in our lives and celebrate our accomplishments even very minor ones because sometimes just getting a load of laundry done is an accomplishment! So when Jackie said "cheesy-good" she was saying that it was a positive thing for her because she was actually running after the dog instead of moaning and groaning her way across the room at a slugs pace. I do hope that helps. Bev "Dawn S" <kend…@samlink.com> wrote in message

Actually cheesy-good-things come to light in the oddest ways.  After the onslaught diminished, I realized that I was actually feeling pretty good.  I really was "running" after the dog.  Running without realizing it – albeit for short distances – is nothing to complain about!  Changes in the weather, plaquinel, etc., combining nicely at the moment. I wouldn’t have believed it!  Terra has NEVER had a flatulence disorder. Tonite I am chasing her with a lysol spray can and a rag over my mouth and nose.  I HATE my DH – he has no sense of smell and is sitting back laughing his head off while I choke. (At least its nice to know that there are some – very few – benefits to losing senses of taste and smell.)  Anyway since I have to blame someone, those of you in the south who were wafting warmth to the Canucks must have grabbed Bayta’s "virus" out of the air and sent it too. Don’t you feel bad??? <g> Jackie, snorting and gasping in CA

Response:

Jackie, How funny!  I hope the "Bayta Virus" doesn’t spread to Central CA! Too many 4 legged critters in this house.  I’d have to move out. I can just picture you with the can of lysol. Hugs, Sherry Army Navy surplus should still have some gas masks! "Jackie" <lkolb…@earthlink.net> wrote in message
