Janers my doc told me when I was haven alot of chest pains that lupus it is comon for the valve in back of your heart it is little and it sometimes shuts off with lupus people. He told me the next time I have chest pains he is going to do a cath. to unclog this valve he says this is comon and if done in time there is not alot of damage from it . I don’t know your personal problem but this just jumped up in my short little mind when I read this. And the way he talked it wasn’t a real bad thing. So I figured I tell ya. Talk at you later Kristi

Dear Janers, I thought you had this heart thing licked…at least for longer than this! Hi, I’m baack! At least I hope so. Can’t promise I won’t fall below the waters again, but I’m glad to be back while I can to speak to my lupie friends. Have your docs checked out pericarditis? I’m sure a heart doc has, but I thought I’d ask. You have to check for it with a sonogram, like with babies. Do I have the right word here? A cardiologist saw it when testing me for something else. Later, a brighter and much better paid cardiologist not only dismissed the idea, but dismissed the video of the sonogram when she saw it as being insignificant. Janers~~I’m so glad I gathered up the strength to come in and check the site—will send good vibes your way, wish I could be more opptimisic about these docs, Janers, I think they just go in circles after their first "fix" doesn’t. We went to the neurologist yesterday. Stupid ass. So sorry, you know that’s not like me. Wanted to do a spinal tap, and I just glared at him. I hated him in the spring, and I hate him now. Knows nothing about lupus, so why was I wasting my time there? Am going to try and go it alone for a week, then see rheumatologist again, and then next day my family doc. The visits do more in stress, mentally and physically right now, noone with answers, or new options. Have been trying to "GRRR", but it doesn’t come very strong yet. You watch yourself, you’ve had a few good weeks awhile back, we’ve just got to reach out there and find the miracle for us. Love you. Dear Janners–Hang in there[I know easier said then done-LOL] I have just for info a hYANIAL hERNIA AND AS A RESULT HAVE eSOPHIGILITIS> tHE ACID from my stomsch went on too long and along w/acid reflux has caused holes burnt up and down my Esophigus[wish in hind-sight I had not let it go so long!!] I now take 20mg of Prilosec in AM and 20mg of Prilosec in the late afternoon. I also take something called Carafate Suspension 3-4 times a day. So I can re-late to the Mylanta[which I also take up to 4 times a day] So as you can see I can re-late–fortunately or unfortunately[LOL] I have heard of the procedure for tightening or closing nd making smaller the loop to help this problem. I have heard of some having very good results with this. I unfortuanetly am advised by my gastro that he would and will not do this procedure on me bcause of all of my med. probs. and now after 3 new Drs. apts I get to take not 21 but now 24 meds. a day. Could you just imagine how rich we all could be if we got a kick-back from all of these prescriptions??????[LOL] Oh by the way I have pain that comes w/esophigus and hyanal hernia that if I had not had -2 heart ops for Perricarrditis would at times have to wait it out to see if it was the heart or the other symptoms above mentioned that you swear hurt so bad it feels like @#$%^&-get the drift. Chostachondritis also can give some nast pain also along w/chest pain ass. w/SLE. Well I hope your apt. went well today and the next one you have also goes well. If you have not[you probably have] had an Endoscopy done by Gastro it is a good idea w/problems you are having–just my 2 cents[you think I am kidding? Since I have had a lot of the same systems and have gone the same route did they do an echo cardiogram on you and angiogram? I took nitro too and cardizam but they settled on pericarditis and esophogitis and its ok now. Love your idea about the tummy tuck. I have a lot of disgusting extra skin there and it would be great to get it off. You have a lot of great ideas Janers and I wish you much luck and a conclusive diagnosis soon Many prayers Ruth

Had to sit here and write a little so where do I go but here…Tomorrow is the check up with the heart doc, and I have to say all the damn meds I am on, I can not tell if any one of them is working right….I don’t have the flips and flops like I did so the cardiezem must be working there, but the chest pain is still PAIN…so I am thinking that this is esophagus related…don’t go to that doc till next week after waiting 2 months, remember…? Well I can not eat a meal, and only frequently. Hugs Jane: Bruce here , watch the nitros after 3 , b/p can bottom out quickly. Is it possible byal acids coming from stomach? Do you have trouble swallowing without a drink first? toxic thyroid can cause hyperventing like chest pain " this i have , post tramatic stress" I do hope your chest pain is not through to the back?
