Question:
Loved this story Jennifer. It is amazing what happens when our success breeds success in others! K in Cali
a few months ago i was talking to a freind at work about low-carb diets… she was interested and happy for me that i’d been successful, but she was leary of actually doing it. about 3 weeks ago, said freind went into the hospital for a kidney stone (which dissolved on its own), and they found she had a bone infection, and 10 out of 12 definite symptoms of lupus. she’s now out of the hospital, feeling tired, but her doctor has also put her on a low-carb diet. she told me the other day that she feels much better, and is surprised at what she can eat… she told me how she and her fiance went out to dinner, and that she’d ordered prime rib, ate the whole thing, and wasn’t all groggy afterwards. "I should have listened to you in the first place." *grin* she’s also lost about 5 pounds, which she’s not sneezing at either. now she calls me to get advice on atkins… she was using that little yellow book as her bible, and almost accused me of blasphemy when i told her the book was wrong, she COULD have caffeine, but it was citric acid she should watch out for =). i think she nearly fainted when she learned she could start drinking her coffee again. *makes a tally mark on the great atkins scoreboard* =). jen 215/165/143 *can i claim an official 50lbs gone now?* red meat isn’t bad for you… fuzzy blue-green meat is bad for you.
