I wonder if thats more common for lupies. Linda cracked hers once that way too. >>Anyway we’re off to dinner to celebrate 22 years. > wonderful!  Ron and I are coming up on 11.  that means we’re on the > solar cycle (as are you!).  :)  This past year was Solar Max. > (sorry, frustrated amateur astronomer on board).

Thanks to all for your congrats! When making that big decission 22+ years ago Linda was already having symptoms but the cause was unknown. My mother tried to discourage me, sure glad I didn’t heed her and she (my mother) is very glad as well. Linda and I have been very blessed, we both get along famously with the other’s family. It has made the trying times of lupus much easier on both of us. Timothy — Most of the worlds great discoveries are made with a cry, not of "Eureka!" but "That’s funny".

I know I know.  I get fussed at when I do solar viewing.  but sunspots through a 5" light bucket like mine are incredible.. well, guess it all depends on your POV. Dog sunbathes – her spots are bad too. :-)  but then… she’s a dalmatian.

Ouch Tina, You are not using Crisco on your skin are you? Sounds a little strange to me. Why do you have to wait to have someone look at it? I’m glad that cold is better at least. Fondly, BJ "Tina" <brokenotp…@cs.comdirtysox> wrote in message

<screeching in agony> too many memories of childhood finger smashing going on for me right now. <shudder> hope it’s not broken (though it sounds like it) and it heals quickly. I think my finger is having sympathy pains. when are you going to wash those dirty sox!  :-) hugs, kcat

Response:

OUCH! They don’t do too much for a broken finger as long as the bone is in place. Often not breaking something is worse than breaking it. Probably moved everything out of place and ripped a few things while doing it! Either way it will be splinted! Bev "Tina" <brokenotp…@cs.comdirtysox> wrote in message

Hi my friends I went and had x-rays when hubby got home, got a splint from pinky tip to wrist for about a week then re-check after swelling goes down, theres a small knick  in knuckle, bad contusion but finger isnt broken. they said could take a couple weeks to heal, wow when they got done it hurt an swelled more. so working my mouse is tricky but my typing finger is free haha..     Hugs, Tina (oh and you must remove my dirtysox to reply to me byE- mail)

glad to hear that – broken bones that are in "active" places (fingers, toes, ribs) are hard to heal.   Cracked a rib once when I had pneumonia – was nine months before it stopped hurting to breathe deeply or sneeze.   >said could take a couple weeks to heal, wow when they got done it hurt an >swelled more.

figures.  I suppose they had to splay out the finger to take x-rays and wiggle this and tweek that.. so… staying away from dressers and walls these days?  <snicker>

Moving furniture, huh. Put my back out and off work for a month doing that ten or so years ago. Gotta watch that dangerous stuff and tell DH not to throw it at you LOL. Those fingers can hurt! Mine get squashed on the job now and then, but not as badly as yours got it. DW has cracked her ribs 2 or three times now. Always takes several months to get comfortable again. Coughing, sneezing and laughing all painful. Anyway we’re off to dinner to celebrate 22 years. then again – it can be a good thing. Hubby had a large ganglion cyst on his wrist a few years ago.  about the size of a golf ball.  Doc offered to remove it by slamming it with the PDR… apparently that is common practice here.  But Ron said "nah" – it didn’t hurt or cause him any problems.  just looked odd.  then we were moving a desk and he got wrist caught between desk and door frame.  didn’t pay much attention to it, just said it burned and ached for a while – a day later we notice the cyst is gone. >DW has cracked her ribs 2 or three times now. yup.  I cracked mine while trying to sit up at the same time I was having a coughing fit. ZZZZZINNNNNNG!  nothing we could do but give me vicodin to control the cough and wait for it to heal. >Anyway we’re off to dinner to celebrate 22 years.

wonderful!  Ron and I are coming up on 11.  that means we’re on the solar cycle (as are you!).  :)  This past year was Solar Max.  (sorry, frustrated amateur astronomer on board).
