i'm having neurological difficulty can someone help?

Question:

Hi I think the "shift in the hormones similare to when you give birth has possibly caused your flare! Yes, I have had Neuro involvement. I have been helped by Antibiotic therapy. The Book, The New Arthritis Breakthrough was a great help and started me thinking as I always felt better on antibiotics. I am free of the "fog" and the head pain . I am was able to go off pred and mtx..Get the book. It has made a huge difference in my life. http;//immed.org and http;//roadback.org have lots of info! Email me if you want Marge Marge

Response:

yes, whenever i have been in the hospital (d & c, hysterectomy, appendectomy, etc) i have had a flare-however, you may be reacting to the abortion as well, it affects your hormone level and can cause depression, which a flare can also cause.  the symptoms you describe speak of depression-get thyself to a doctor.  i take zoloft, which has helped me.  it may be that you only need something temporarily or that you may need to talk to someone for a while.  an abortion works on the body and the mind.  GOD GIVES US ONE DAY AT A TIME.

I am 23 and I have this type of confusion and new inability to understand things as quickly as I used to. What has your doctor said? He will probably ask you to see a neurologist. In the meantime carry some paper and a pen everywhere so you can write stuff that you don’t want to forget down. Good luck and don’t be afraid, Heather

Could it be possible that your symptoms are post-abortion syndrome as opposed to lupus related? Post-abortion complications are widely known about in medical circles but rarely discussed or admitted to because of the volitille and political nature of the topic. In any event you’re probably much in need of post-abortion counseling as well as continuing care and support for lupus. I hope all goes well with you — have a speedy recovery. E-mail me if I could be of further assistance. God bless, John

I’ve had lupus since i was 13.  I’m currently 24.  I just had an abortion that induced my lupus.  I haven’t been able to drive or leave my apt.  I’m having trouble concentrating and feel as though there is too much information for me to handle.  I have had only a couple of headaches but I’m very scared.  I have a mild case of lupus.  Has anyone been seriously affected neurologically from this???  thanks. jean — Posted via Talkway – http://www.talkway.com Exchange ideas on practically anything ™.
