Question:
To all: Illness prevents me from being as responsive as I might wish to be. I have a clogged nose, cough-y throat, and stuffed up brain. I am so glad to be hearing from people – there were a couple of days of "No New Messages" which notation on my screen always causes my heart to sink a bit. Okay – sniff, sniff – so I *am* asking for sympathy (but it feels odd to do it). I will write more as I can. Best, from a slightly beaten down Beauty
Hi Beauty sorry to hear that you are sick. Its miserable being sick. Hope you feel better soon!!!! Take care! Bree — You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Hi TribalNation and Beauty
I am so sorry that you all are feeling so very crummie right now!
Being sick is absolutely no fun whatsoever! Don’t even _think_ of responding to this…. there is nothing here to respond to anyhow, and sounds like you all have lots of better things (like getting well) to work on instead, ok? =20 Just wanted to let the both of you know that we are thinking of you and hoping that you all will get to feeling lots and lots better real real soon, ok? Take care of yous… SkyeTribe (Khrys, ladelling out warm soup, tissues, throat lozenges, nice smelling stress relief spray, and anything else that might be of help

I’m glad you posted about it and that you asked for sympathy even though it felt odd too. I guess i= f you can, so can I. I’m currently in a full blown lupus flare and it ain’t pretty. Feeling like I’ve been hit by a two, two-ton trucks. This tim= e around I have a viral coronary infection, muscle-mind fatigue (I ache all over!), vision has gone blurry (my reason for changing fonts), I’m speckled with rashes that also hurt, are hot to the touch and itch like crazy, running the usual 100=BA fever and I have a headache that comes and goes (Motrin 600’s x 4/day does wonders for these and the muscle aches – swelling). Like you, not feeling up to par on getting to all o= f the posts and being able to respond the way I like to. Trying hard though. =20 Worse thing is all this is due to stress which is a trigger to a flare, most of it unavoidable (t’pist and my ex-hubby, jerk!) and I knew that I should be wearing sun block when I went out on two walks during sunshiny days and didn’t (UVA/UVB rays are triggers too). And after eating gobs of salsa that I put celery in instead of onions (hate onions – too acidic, upsets tummy), I read more of my book on "Living with Lupus" to find that celery is a trigger food to lupus flares. Really cooked my goose this time! (apologies to all who like geese – I like them too – figure of speech) =20 So, I _totally_ can relate to not feeling good. I hope you get better soon. =20 Sierra

Hey Beauty, I hope it’s getting better!!! hi Sierra, wow! certainly sounds as if its all hitting the fan at once. i hope you feel better soon. i know little bit bout lupus. how long does a flare-up last for you??
Flares here can last awhile, 2-4 weeks, sometimes more! besides treating your symptoms is there anything you can do that speeds recovery?
Avoid stress (fat chance of that one!), sunshine, trigger foods. take lotsa good care of TN, k?
Working on it. no need to answer questions now, i understand the difficulty. guess i really just wanted to say i’ll be thinking bout you and hope you’re doing better very soon.
