Question:
I’ve been diagnosed since 1997, but my doctor believes I’ve had it since I was about 12 years old. It was tough during my childhood- everyone thought I was a hypocondriac- then again- people who don’t know anything about Lupus- still think I am a hypocondriac! Theresa

i have had the same thing even though my mother believed something was wrong she would also say the same thing i feel for our daughter i know that people may be saying the same thing about her as well. it is hard to have a desase that you can’t see from the out side. yet you feel as if you are deteriorating from the inside out….. janet

I was dx’d in 1989, and although there might be bits and pieces that, in retrospect, I could attribute to Lupus prior to that, I have to admit it was some sudden, severe, symptoms that sent me to the doctor in 1989.
