I was thinking about this.  There’s another word (rather than cheap), that I much prefer, but I can’t tell ya since I can’t remember what the word is, when I need to. How about "discriminating shopper" (discriminating towards emptying your purse <g> > |J (not Julia <g> but I like that name too. > </snip> > OK now you have me choked right up!! 6 pounds now, baby has been released.  He was 10 week preemie with jaundice (no other details). But seems like things are going well in that regard. > Is it incubated because > of being early or due to other problems? Thanks Shelagh. I’m concerned about bro.  Since his doctor hasn’t been helpful with the itching since last summer, first he was spraying javex all over his clothes and his legs.  When that quit working, he’s now using a horse medicine !! The vet who sold him the medicine won’t give advice, because he’s not qualified to, I’m concerned bro will do harm to himself. If it’s what he thinks it is, taking the medicine would negate the bloodwork that the doctor finally agreed to take. Very frustrating.  And a lot of frustration that the medical situation forces a patient to self-dx and self-medicate. Just as an FYI, apparently there’s now 1 million patients here in Ontario w/o any doctor.  That includes a doctor and his family, who’s not allowed to treat his family nor practice in Ontario, because he was trained elsewhere and would have to go back to med school (and no earnings for a year or more), so he travels to Michigan and practices his medicine there.  What a mess !  Possibly same thing going on out in BC where Dave is? Anyhow, thanks for your reply. Hugs J (not Julia <g> but I like that name too.

I had an e-mail from my brother 2 nights ago. He’s been battling fatigue for quite a while and itching since last summer. He’s awaiting some (non-Lupus related) bloodwork tests and stool samples. I’m sure some of you will understand my concern about his symptoms (hint: differentials and/or complications related to autoimmune).  He and his GP are exploring other possibles. Anyhow, he has such a great sense of humour.  His e-mail had me ROTFL in tears and laughing. Unfortunately due to the subject matter and his language, I’m not able to share it with the group. It might confuse and/or offend. Anyhow the DMV which he affectionately calls the Dept of My Victimization have been harrassing him, well after the fact about the long-since "under control" apnea.  Next they insisted that he have his eyes checked or he’d get his driver’s license revoked.  His eyes checked out fine and letters about both are on their way to the Dept of My Victiimization <g> As if he doesn’t have enough stress with the job and the itching, and his daughter having had a preemie and the baby still in incubator.  This too concerns me because she’s part native, some of you will perhaps understand the connection (Lupus and natives). All told, I’d say he’s holding up quite well, for now. But I’m still being left totally in suspense. To be continued, just thought I’d share. Hugs J

(((J and family))) I’m glad he has a great sense of humor.  Humor makes the world go round.   I will pray for your grandaughter, and for your brother to find out what the heck is goin’ on with that body!  Waiting for a dx is frustrating, to say the least, but waiting for symptom control is even worse.  Is he getting help with his symptoms?  I Hope so. -Sharon — Clear your mind, relax and float downstream.
