Echinacea: when do I start it again?

Question:

I took Echinacea for 2 weeks straight and now have been off of it for 2 weeks.  When is it ok to start it up again?  Also, what is the proper dosage of the elixer form? (I have been taking a dropper full once a day.)  Feedback appreciated.

Two very good nitty-gritty questions…hope you get some definitive nitty-gritty answers.  :-) Bye,

Response:

only take it when you have symptoms . Personally, when I feel the first signs of a cold or allergies, such as itchy eye’s, runny nose, or cough, I take 3 or four tablet’s once. If the symptoms persist , I take another 3 or 4 within about six hours. I have never, in two years, had to take it for more than two days. one bottle will last me a year.

And…once again…as is so common in all these Echinacea anecdotes appearing in this newsgroup…the strength of the tablets and their actual contents are not specified. 100% echinacea ?  What variety, augustifolia, purpura ?  Milligrams of Echinacea per tablet ?   Bye,
