Janester….why are you trying to go off the paxil, is it not helping…I agree if it is not working to go off of it….paxil is not a drug to mess around with lots of side effects for some people…namely MIL was on it and a bugger to get her straightened around.. Her doc also said paxil could not cause side effects of with drawl…totally disagree with that…heck I disagree with a lot of medical stuff lately…LOL Maybe you went off to to fast…Did you call your doc and ask him or a pharmacist how to slowly get off this drug…If they are no help. maybe call a psychiatrists office and ask his or her staff about the drug and side effects of with drawl, or even your mental health facility near you…My daughter works in one and they are more than happy to talk with people about the use of these drugs… Did you ever have an MRI of the head, maybe you are having what they call arteritis of the head, which could possibly be or vasculitis…I am not familiar with your trouble or other meds you are on so I can not say… If your doc did not think it was the paxil ask the little sucker what the hey they are from or that you would very much appreciate getting some help and relief here….that ought to get his attention… from another name sake.LOL janers

in "Duh-ville"? Often. Withdrawal from similar med – yes though I was able to literally crumble my med to little pieces and took about 2 months to come off it – so minimal withdrawal effects. one day of dizzies basically. Hope you get past this soon. Still – taking from Tinas response – want to point out to you and everyone that we should all have CO monitors in our homes (lupie or otherwise) as CO can come from sources we wouldn’t necessarily know (underground pipes) and of course even brand new appliances (gas ranges, furnaces, etc.) can leak CO in a dangerous amount. *********************************** KCat – I am not a medical professional. And, if you’re in worrit mode, consider CO2 (carbon dioxide) which can come from badly-ventilated equipment (eg a gas cooker used in a sealed kitchen, or an open fire or a gas water heater with a blocked flue). Symptoms include heavier breathing (as your body tries to get oxygen) – again, if it feels better outside consider this possibility. Electricity doesn’t produce these effects.. it has other ways of getting you
Note from KC’s words that CO can enter a house from outside even if you have no piped gas supplies nearby.
