HI WENDY!! It’s ME……..Marie from ASD! I started hanging around here when my cousin was dx’d with Lupus a few months ago. I knew what benefit I had received at the diabetes groups with/for Mom. This is a great group of folks who let me hang around even though I post off topic Cheesy Good Things (CGT) or farm stories a lot of the time. The atmosphere here is a bit different from ASD and MHD……..not so technical, and very much like an email group. Scroll through the subject lines for the past on any given day, and you will see that sometimes we post here just because we have a headache, and have to tell someone who cares or we will make a serious attempt to unscrew our skulls from our necks and perform brain surgery. <Big Stupid Grin> Each of us have our own dragons to fight, and there always seems to be a dragon slayer available with kind words or wisdom gained from experience. Hang around as much as you like. Lurk, post, whatever……….I am just tickled to see you are here, and making progress finding all the pieces to your puzzle. I know the past year has been a roller-coaster for you on so many different levels. Feel free to email me privately anytime. Marie, Caretaker Mom T2 Dx 3/2002

If I’m correct, he’s called B-something (not Bruce) and occasionally posted here, usually with technical information. If someone else can remember his name correctly, Google-Groups would tell you which groups he frequents. — Andy [Chair, N E Lupus Group] See http://www.kitzbuhel.demon.co.uk/lupus for more!

Boaz R. Not a doctor but a PhD. researcher with an incredible amoung of knowledge. Yes, his lovely wife, Mira, did die from complications of SLE. Her memorial pages, http://www.zeta.org.au/~sioux/mira/ are still available as well. You were likely on Hamline’s Lupus L. however, this forum has been discontinued because the forum owner had to move on to other responsibilities. In addition, it wasn’t getting the same level of activity as it did in years past. You can still find Boaz and friends on ACOR. www.acor.com/lupus/ at least last I heard this group was still active. Set-up is very similar to how Hamline was set up. another member of the Hamline list set up the following. I have not visited so do not know what it is like. http://groups.msn.com/lupusfamilies/ Finally – the posts announcing the end of the group as well as discussion on "where to go now" are still archived on the hamline pages. For these go to http://www.hamline.edu/lupus/ click on "mailing lists" then click on "LUPUS-L". Hope this has helped. kcat posted and emailed.

I used to be on several lupus support groups. Perhaps someone here can help me find them again. My favorite had a guy from Israel. I think he was a doc, and his wife died of lupus. Anyone know what I’m talking about? I am horrible at newsgroups….I forget to check back and read messages. I’d like to get in a good email group. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
At first I was diagnosed with lupus, then mixed connective tissue disease, now I also have myasthenia gravis. Anybody else with lupus also have MG? I’ve met a few on the MG list. Wendy Peace and Carrots Farm Vermont http://www.homestead.com/peaceandcarrots/ http://www.heathershikinghiatus.com/
