sooo cold.

Question:

Hi!    I have rainards also.  My feet drain of all the blood so they are bright white and they are cold.  they go numb and i fall when i try to stand.  doc also said it is caused by the blood vessel spasms. raynauld’s phenomenia.  It causes blood vessels to contract b/c they preceive the body as being cold — which makes you colder.

Response:

I know how you feel.  I’ve always seem to be cold. I can wear long sleeves and jeans in the middle of summer in Arizona (we’re talking 110 degree weather).  I’ve had lots of blood work done and went to see a rheumatologist and he told me that I have raynauld’s phenomenia.  It causes blood vessels to contract b/c they preceive the body as being cold — which makes you colder.  Not to worry you, but there are two types of raynauld’s.  One is that you just have it and the other is that it is a symptom of some other disease (like lupus and some others).  Just thought this might help.  Take care and keep warm.
