sharp pain!

Question:

<<The pain I am referring to is my left toes and very painful when I walk. I can not get my toes to move,…>> Have you mentioned this to your doctor?  I’m still not sure what you’re describing. I was thinking at first you might be describing muscle spasms, but this doesn’t sound like it.  Do you have peripheral neuropathy or Raynauds by any chance?  Ever have problems with very cold feet and hands?  My daughter does and it often causes severe pain in her fingers and toes.  There are exercises which will help muscle spasms, but I don’t know of any to help with symptoms from Raynauds.   If I were you, I think I’d bring this up with my doctor.  It’s possible that he could determine the cause and either prescribe a medication to help or send you to physical therapy if that’s appropriate.   Sandra

Response:

Hello there, There is a name for this pain as I have had it also. Need to look it up. Before the doctors found what was going on I went through many different tests, from blood tests and other diagnostic testing which as usual came back negative. Doris http://www/toad.net/~dreichard

The type of pain you are referring to. My is under my left breast and right above the rib cage and goes around the back and goes down toward the stomach area. If you wanted to rate it from a 1-10 I would have to say its a 20. Unbearable and no matter what I do, nothing helps for very long. I have tried a heating pad, ice bag etc. Doris

The diagnosis was Costochronditis-inflammation of the cartilage of the rib cage. I hope this helps. I don’t have Lupus but very interested in this disease as a best friend has just been dx with it. I have Scleroderma. Maybe you can take this information to your doctor. I was beginning to think I was crazy also. I was wondering does anyone know of any exercises for the toes. <<I was wondering does anyone know of any exercises for the toes.>> That depends on what specifically you need the exercises for.  Is it for cramping or muscle spasms?   Sandra

The pain I am referring to is my left toes and very painful when I walk. I can not get my toes to move, I thought maybe there are some sort of stretching exercises that some one knows of to get my toes moving once again! Doris SCroyle909 <scroyle…@aol.com> wrote in message
