I had blood in my urine also from the lupus. I don’t know of any other auto-immune disease that would cause it, but I am sure it is possible. I know it can happen when there is a flare and the sedrate is high. I didn’t have to see a Urologist and it went away as the flare subsided. Before the lupus diagnosis I had many bladder infections and was sent to a Urologist, but he didn’t find anything then. Just something I was prone to. I haven’t had the problem in 5 years. Your Dr. may want to check for kidney involvement. Good luck. Mary

There are a number of autoimmune diseases that can attack the kidney.. Most are very serious when the kidney function is impaired, though good recovery is made if the inroads of disease aren’t too great.

My Dr. just called me and told me that he had set me up with an appt. to see a local uriologist because my urinalisis from eariler in the week once again came back showing 10 in 14 blood content. He was really busy and I couldnt really ask him much at the time. I did ask him what do you think, and he said my kidney and liver function were good, but my autoimmune disease would be the culprit, as far as the blood in the urine. Does anyone know if there is any other auto immune disease that would cause that. He really dosent say Lupus any more just your auto-immune disease. Anyone shed any info or clues here. I am now totally confused. Thanks, Betty Sucess is simply a matter of luck. Ask any failure.
