The Macrobiotic theory of Sanpaku is a particularly pigheaded philosophy. It was also proposed that eating meat makes your ears pointed, and makes you look like a demon. This is rank absurdity.
As opposed to ETH, which is high-quality absurdity.

How wonderful to be so sophisticated as to be in a position to pass judgement on one of the oldest healing traditions, a tradition which was thriving when this civilization was a dusty crossroads in the German lowlands.

I don’t remember the author’s name. : ‘Sanpaku’ is a Japanese folk concept, popularized by Ohsawa. It is NOT Chinese, or associated with East-Asian Traditional Healing. San here I believe means ‘three.’ I forget what paku means, but ‘pa’ is probably ‘white’ and ‘ku’ is probably ‘eye.’ Correlation of physical traits with health is of course a large part of ETH, but drawing as extreme conclusions as these (sudden death, derangement) stems from the superstitious folk traditions–not from the healing traditions, and this concept is just yet another original Macrobiotic excess (along with excessive consumption of salt, and cigarette smoking).

Yesterday a witness in the O.J. trial mentioned that she saw white space around the pupils of O.J.’s eyes when he was in a rage. This caught my attention because I have been curious about the police photo that was taken of him when he was arrested. This was the photo that was put on the cover of Time magazine. It showed a lot of white space under the pupils of his eyes. Is this a symptom of disease? I have heard that this is a sure sign of serious illness. In his opening statement, Johnny Cochran mentioned that O.J. has arthritis. He also mentioned a problem with lymph nodes which he said was a part of the arthritis. Could he be referring to lupus, which is a type of arthritis and causes problems with the lymph nodes? I know someone who has lupus and her symptoms include mental problems. Could O.J. have lupus which is causing him to go crazy? In any case, can someone enlighten me on what it means when there is white space showing under the pupils? Eric Jackson

It was an interesting concept. Peter Dionis ****Just as a matter of interest….. I read an article long ago that was interviewing Yoko Ono about John Lennon’s death. She stated that she knew that John may meet an untimely death because of the white space under his pupils ( I assume according to Japanese legend or something ). I have been curious about this and have looked at pictures of others who have had untimely deaths. So far, the only other person I’ve noticed with the whites showing is Jim Morrison.
