DHEA

Question:

I heard that DHEA, a substance you can buy at the General Nutrition Centers and probably many other places is supposed to be very helpful for people with M.S.  Especially fatigue.  However, I hear it is some type of hormone.  Does anyone out there know about this stuff?  I have a huge gallstone and do not want to end up getting more and having surgery.  The gallstone was probably caused by the synthetic estrogen that is in birth control pills, which I took from around 1972-1982 or so, roughly 10 years.   Anyone please help… If DHEA may be a possible help I would like to try it.  I know the doctors/neuro would say "what" — just like they always do.  My neuro had never heard of pycnogenol!  I tried that for about a month, noticed nothing unfortunately.  However, I am willing to try any organic/natural type of herbs/vitamins/etc. out there.  Thanks! — Sometimes the light
